Swimming pool 2010 is among the artist’s most well-known and critically acclaimed works and is currently on display at Brisbane's Gallery of Modern Art current exhibition "21st Century: Art in the First Decade". This installation is a lot of fun and when you are in it, you start to become unsteady on your feet. It's the closest thing you can get to breathing underwater without any devices.
The gallery was closed for a couple of weeks due to the recent floods but is now reopen. Thankfully there was not any damage sustained to the works housed in GOMA. This exhibition is on till the 26th of April 2011.
These photos and the video are taken at the Museum of Art in Kanazawa, Japan where there is a version on permanent display.
Now yesterday Triple J held it's annual "Hottest 100" countdown of the most popular songs of the year before. "Big Jet Plane" by Angus and Julia Stone came in at number 1. Here is a live version of the song.
