Frida Kahlo 1907 - 1954
I have just reread a biography I bought a few years ago called "Frida Kahlo - The Brush of Anguish" by Martha Zamora. This woman is truly inspirational to me. Despite the pain and anguish cased by Polio, a severe bus accident in which she suffered terrible injuries, She remained strong.
Frida lived her life in her own way. She created 143 paintings in her short lifetime, had a house full of various pets, was a political activist and despite having married Diego Rivera (a famous Mexican painter) had many affairs. (Mind you so did he) Here is a very small example of her work.
