About Me
I was born and raised in Portugal, but have lived in the US all my adult life. I work full time and create art in my spare time. I love spending time with my husband and kids, and with the rest of my family in the US and Portugal.
Artistic Interests
I love creating art... all different kind of art. I really enjoy learning and trying different techniques with different media and then putting my spin on them. I have too many ideas and not enough time :). Because of my love of techniques, I really enjoy mixed media, although I keep going back to fine art as it was what I started with. I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy creating it.
Personal Interests
Other than art, reading all about art techniques, and what I have mentioned already, I enjoy spending my spare time reading fiction, taking pictures, relaxing in a bubble bath with a book, and playing soccer.

Friends on Friday - Nora Blansett
This weeks "Friend on Friday" is the lovely Nora Blansett who is from New Minas, Nova Scotia, Canada. Her work is very pretty and wonderfull.
About Me
Nora Blansett has always been an artist, though she's had no formal training. She began drawing as a very young child and had her first gallery show when she was in her early teens. Growing up internationally she spent most of her childhood bouncing from country to county with "home" being Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In her teens she moved to Montgomery, Alabama and currently resides in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Artistic Interests
Living abroad had a major impact on her art and opinions of the world around her. She began drawing intricate designs from the Middle East and India incorporating vivid colour, later finding a love of figurative works. Eventually she found her way to fantasy: Faeries, mermaids, pixies, brownies and all manner of mystical creatures. The primary mediums she works in are ink, colour pencil, and watercolours. Her award-winning work is collected around the globe, published in various magazines and books and licensed for a variety of products. My art and photography is collected around the world and my short stories and poetry have been published many times in several languages. I am currently writing a children's novel based on my realm "Ever'ee Dae", as well as a fantasy/erotica for a mature audience.
I am an avid supporter of Autism and Cancer research, as well as LGBT rights and often donate my work and time to raise money and awareness.
