Sunday Supper on Monday

I made this one for my Birthday a few weeks ago and took it into work. It was a big hit and there was not one piece left. I used chocolate biscuits for the base and it rivalled anything you would find in a coffee shop. I will defineately be cooking this again. If you are watching your weight you could always use low fat cream cheese and sour cream.

This time last week I was in Melbourne and we were wandering along Brunswick Street, Fitzroy looking for somewhere to eat. There were a lot of people sitting in a place called "Joe's Garage" and we were soon to discover why. The food was excellent with a wide variety to choose from, large serves and very affordable.

We went for the lunch special and it did not disappoint. You could choose a bowl of pasta or a pizza with a glass of wine for $10.90. The serves were so big that the lovely staff gave us containers to take the left overs home and we had it for dinner as well.

Sunday Supper

I had my neighbours over for afternoon tea last Sunday so I made these. The recipes made so many that we were still eating them this weekend and we still have some in the freezer. They were very yummy.

I could not find any sausage mince at the supermarket and I had run out of mixed herbs so our sausage rolls ended up being Moroccan flavoured as I substituted lamb mince and used up some spice mix in the cupboard. I also could not find any Gruyere cheese so I had to substitute Parmesan in the quiches but everyone loved the results anyway.

I had a Birthday this week so I also made a Baked Sour Cream Cheese Cake to take to work. It proved very popular with my work mates and I will put it up in a couple of weeks as I will be in Melbourne next week end looking at lots of art and eating plenty of food.
