I went to the "State Bird Fair" and met Kasey who had a stand there displaying her work. She lives in Caloundra, Queensland, is a busy Mum as well as being a Pet and Wildlife Artist. Her work is original, colourful and a lot of fun.

This week's "Friend on Friday" is the very talented Shaun Campbell. He is one of my old art college classmates and I am very impressed with how far he has come since those days. Shaun runs his own business "Squidtank" from his home and I have taken the following paragraph from his website. http://www.squidtank.com/
Shaun Campbell is a brisbane based artist who is available for any local, national or international freelance work ranging from illustration, logo design, cartooning, concepting, mascot and character creation, computer game art through to commisioned artworks and animated/motion graphics projects. Basically if you have any project that needs to look good or have character, please feel free to get in touch, I'd love to hear from you.
Todays "Friend on Friday" is Deborah Mazarakes from California in the USA. I will let here describe herself followed by some examples of her work.
I am an independent illustrator and designer. I love Mid-Century Modern and retro design. Many of my designs and illustrations are reminiscent of the 1950s and 60s as well as the 1970s. However, I don't limit myself to that style. I love color and how it can set a mood and send you to a time and place. I am always on the look out for interesting color schemes. My store features clean modern designs for business cards, address labels, greeting cards, stationery, invitations, postage and more in a range of color palettes such as Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Zen, and classic black and white. Also, be sure to check out my selection of retro and modern Speck iPad and iPhone cases! Click on: Zazzle coupon codes for the latest Zazzle deals and promotions. Thanks for visiting! After a discussion on the "Indie Exhibit" group wall over what to send to the upcoming "MTV Music Awards" gift lounge, I discovered I had a whole heap of robot designs that I hadn't used. Yesterday I set to work to make a whole heap of robot shoes and here are the results. I still have to decide what I am sending so please feel free to vote for one of them in the comments section.
